# Ramp

> Ask Italic about your Ramp spending and have it draft memos and approvals for you.

<Callout type="warn">Not available yet: Ramp is being tested and isn't open to customers yet.</Callout>

With Ramp connected, you can ask about your spending and have Italic draft
what Ramp asks of you, like a memo, a missing receipt or an approval, without
opening Ramp. Nothing changes in Ramp until you approve it.

## Connect Ramp [#connect-ramp]

In **Connectors** on the web or the Mac, choose **Ramp**. On the iPhone, open
**Profile → Connectors → Ramp**. Choose **Connect Ramp**, then sign in to
Ramp and approve Italic's access. The account is listed by your Ramp login's
email.

Choose **Connect another account** to add another Ramp login. To connect
another Ramp business, switch to it in Ramp first. Use **Rename** to tell
your accounts apart, such as by business.

## What Italic can do [#what-italic-can-do]

- Find and read your transactions, reimbursements and bills.
- Check your cards, funds and what the expense policy allows. Cards show
  their last four digits only.
- Add a memo, or say why a receipt is missing.
- Approve or reject the transactions, reimbursements and requests waiting
  for you.

Try "What did I spend on my Ramp card this week?", "Put client dinner as the
memo on yesterday's Uber" or "Reject Sam's coffee reimbursement, coffee isn't
covered."

Reading runs right away. Every change is a draft you approve, one per
decision, showing the merchant, amount and date from Ramp. If the amount or
the person changed in Ramp, or the item is no longer waiting, approving sends
nothing and Italic tells you why.

## What Italic can't do [#what-italic-cant-do]

Italic can't pay or approve bills, transfer money, book or cancel travel, or
issue, lock or activate cards, and it never sees card numbers.

## Permission [#permission]

Ramp's permission is **Ask every time** or **Off**. There's no **Allow
without asking**: Italic always asks before it changes anything in Ramp. Ramp
works in chat only, not in workflows.

## Remove an account [#remove-an-account]

Choose **Remove** beside an account to revoke Italic's access at Ramp.
