# Notifications

> Follow workflow runs on your iPhone with notifications and a Live Activity on the Lock Screen.

## Notifications on iPhone [#notifications-on-iphone]

With **Profile → Notifications → Workflow actions** on,
your iPhone tells you what your workflows need or did, usually within a minute or
two:

- **"Email draft ready"** over its subject. **Approve** asks for Face ID, then
sends it. Calendar events and reminders get their own.
- **"Email draft needs a recipient"**: tap it to add one.
- **"Italic needs your answer"**: tap it to answer in Chat.
- A draft your version of Italic can't show has no **Approve** or **Discard**:
tap it to review it in Italic.
- What a workflow did on its own, such as "Sent “Lunch” to …", arrives
without a sound. A failure, such as "Couldn’t send the email: Gmail is off
  in Connectors.", plays one.

No notification quotes an email's body. Once you decide a draft anywhere, its
notification disappears from your iPhone.

## Follow a run on the Lock Screen [#follow-a-run-on-the-lock-screen]

With **Profile → Notifications → Workflow Live
Activities** on, a run shows on the Lock Screen, in the Dynamic Island and in StandBy, even with
Italic closed. It lights the screen with the workflow's name, without a sound,
and steps through Transcribed, Workflow and Done.

- A draft shows **Needs approval**, with **Approve** and **Discard** when your
version of Italic can show it. Approve asks for Face ID.
- **Done** shows what it did and leaves the Lock Screen 5 minutes later.
- **Failed** says why and stays 15 minutes.
- **Open Italic** means this iPhone hasn't heard how the run went. Opening Italic
  catches it up.

Tap it at any point to open Italic at the run.
